Last updated: 2 September 2026
Women in C.R.C is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits this site, subscribes to our publications, or contacts us. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Women in C.R.C is an editorial and research platform of Carthage Risk Consulting, based in Tunis with regional coverage across North and West Africa. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "our", it refers to Carthage Risk Consulting operating the Women in C.R.C platform.
For any question about this policy or your personal data, write to contact@carthage-consulting.com.
2. What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the platform and respond to you.
- Information you give us directly: your name, professional email, organisation, role, and message content when you contact us, submit a pitch, apply to join a roundtable, or subscribe to a publication.
- Technical information collected automatically: device type, browser, general location at country level, referring page, and pages viewed. This helps us understand how the site is used and keep it secure.
- Cookies: only the essential cookies required for the site to function, including your cookie banner preference. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
- Analytics: we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and does not share data with third parties. Plausible collects aggregate, anonymised information such as page views, referring site, country, and device type.
3. How we use your information
- Respond to enquiries, pitches, and applications.
- Send you publications you have subscribed to.
- Invite you to roundtables or partner events where relevant.
- Operate, secure, and improve the platform.
- Meet legal, regulatory, and editorial obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising.
4. Legal basis
Where the GDPR or similar frameworks apply, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for optional subscriptions and analytics), our legitimate interest (running and improving the platform, editorial correspondence), and compliance with our legal obligations.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where necessary and always under written agreements that require confidentiality and appropriate strategic affairs. This may include:
- Trusted service providers who host the site, send our newsletters, or provide analytics.
- Editorial contributors and partners, where clearly disclosed to you.
- Authorities, if legally required.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside Tunisia, including in the European Union and the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, and for the periods required by law. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to three years unless a longer retention is justified.
8. Strategic Affairs
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No online service can be guaranteed fully secure, and we ask you to use good judgment when sharing sensitive information with us.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, write to contact@carthage-consulting.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your country.
10. Children
This platform is intended for professional and adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or by direct communication where appropriate.
